Grujic Popular In Germany

Hertha Berlin are reportedly keen to extend Marko Grujic’s loan spell but two other German clubs want the midfielder on a permanent basis. Grujic, 23, has been on the Liverpool books since 2016 after moving from Red Star Belgrade although he has only featured 14 times for the club in all competitions.

The Serbia international spent time back at Red Star on loan before enjoying loan stints at Cardiff City and, last season, Hertha. He scored five goals from 22 Bundesliga outings last term and did enough for Die Alte Dame to look to take him back on loan.

However, it has been claimed Eintracht Frankfurt and Werder Bremen are hoping to sign the youngster on a permanent basis, according to Goal. It is thought the Merseysiders will slap a £25m price tag on the Belgrade-born star, but that should not be an issue for Frankfurt after their sale of striker Luka Jovic to Real Madrid. Spanish giants Atletico Madrid have also been linked and it remains to be seen if Liverpool want to sever ties with Grujic completely.
