Juventus defender Mehdi Benatia is believed to be a transfer target for Arsenal but they will face competition for his services. The Morocco international has found game time hard to come by with the Serie A champions this season, with the former Bayern Munich star making just four appearances in all competitions.
With five experienced centre-backs currently available to Juve, Benatia is currently down the pecking order and reports in Italy have suggested the 31-year-old could look for a new challenge soon.
Clubs in the Premier League are thought to be keen, with Arsenal and Manchester United believed to be considering a move for the veteran.
However, both the Gunners and the Red Devils will face stiff competition from La Liga champions Barcelona, who have also been linked with Benatia ahead of the January window.
