Arsenal will be without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Aaron Ramsey and Henrikh Mkhitaryan for their Europa League clash with Qarabag.
The trio have not travelled with the rest of the squad for Thursday’s Group E clash in Baku, with forward Aubameyang missing out as he has been suffering from illness during the early part of the week.
Midfielder Ramsey, whose contract situation remains the subject of speculation at the Emirates Stadium, will also sit the game out, as he has stayed in London with his wife, who is due to give birth soon.
Armenia international Mkhitaryan is unable to play due to political tensions between his country and Azerbaijan, with reports suggesting his omission was a mutual decision made between himself and the club.
The trio’s absence will be a blow to Arsenal, as they are already without goalkeeper Petr Cech due to a hamstring problem, while Ainsley Maitland-Niles (leg), Laurent Koscielny (Achilles) and Konstantinos Mavropanos (groin) all remain unavailable.
Bernd Leno is expected to start in goal after impressing on his Premier League debut against Watford last time out, while Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette are both in line to feature at the Baku Olympic Stadium.
