After Emery all but gave up any hope of keeping Ramsey at the Emirates Stadium, he can now set his sights on bringing in his replacement, and Barella is one of the players under the microscope.
At just 21 years of age, Barella has a very bright future, so it comes as no surprise to hear that Arsenal are not the only club who are showing an interest in him.
Barella has started the Serie A season in blistering fashion, leading to reports that AC Milan, AS Roma and Italian champions Juventus are all keen to keep him on home soil.
Whether Arsenal can lure him to the Premier League remains to be seen, but reports in Italy claim they will try.
