Departing Leeds Rhinos winger Ryan Hall insists his season-ending knee injury will not halt his move to the Sydney Roosters. The England international confirmed he had signed for the NRL giants in July after a long and successful career at Headingley.
However, he then ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in the Rhinos’ Qualifiers clash with Toulouse Olympique.
Hall will now not play again for Leeds before he moves Down Under and he insists he has come to terms with his injury and the Roosters are not worried by his fitness.
He told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “Obviously I was quite worried about that before I did speak to them. But they did reassure me, which is great and probably why I am in such good spirits about it all.
“I’m all right. It is the first really big injury I’ve had. In 2016 I broke my ankle and I was out for a large period of the season, but it is a weird one for me now, moving clubs.
“It is not the exit I wanted.”
