West Ham are hoping to spark a bidding war between rival Premier league clubs for the services of striker Andy Carroll.
The former England frontman looks certain to leave the Hammers in the January transfer window after yet another protracted lay-off due to injury problems.
Newcastle, Southampton and Burnley have all been linked with a move for the big Geordie, despite his injury record, and West Ham hope with three clubs involved it will push the price up.

It is unlikely any massive bid will come in as his contract runs out next summer so he can move for nothing then, while he is free to speak to interested parties from January.
The Hammers hope clubs near the foot of the table may try to get him sooner in the hope he will keep them in the league and to do that they will have to make an offer.
