Hazard Expected To Face Clarets

Chelsea should have Eden Hazard fit for Monday’s Premier League visit of Burnley, but Antonio Rudiger is definitely missing. The Blues’ Belgium international talisman picked up an ankle knock in Thursday’s 4-3 Europa League quarter-final second leg win against Slavia Prague at Stamford Bridge, which sealed a 5-3 aggregate win and booked them a semi-final showdown against Eintracht Frankfurt.

However, Hazard is poised to be ready in time for the visit of the Clarets as Chelsea continue their push for a Premier League top-four finish. Defender, Rudiger, is definitely missing with a knee injury, while full-back Marcos Alonso is a doubt with a thigh problem.

A win for Chelsea would take them up to third, three points ahead of Arsenal in fifth, albeit having played a game more than their rivals. Burnley go into the game having struggled on their travels this season with just four wins in 17 attempts in the Premier League.

Looking ahead to the game, Blues boss Maurizio Sarri said: “The last four or five matches will be difficult for every team involved in fighting for the top four, not only for us. “So we can see some very strange results in the last part of the season. We are going to fight and see at the end.”
