The 21-year-old, who will equal Sandra Post’s record for the most LPGA Tour wins by a Canadian with eight if she triumphs, is joined at the top of the leaderboard by American Nelly Korda. Australian Minjee Lee and South Korean Eun-Hee Ji, who held the halfway lead, are just a shot off the pace on -13 and the duo will be hoping to make a fast start to their final rounds.

Former world number one Ariya Jutanugarn surged up the standings into fifth on -12 after carding a round-of-the-day 66, while South Korean Hyejin Choi is a further two strokes back on -10. Reacting to her performance, Henderson said, as quoted by golf365.com: “It was really windy today. I really had to stay patient.”
