Heung-Min Son Return, Pochettino Optimistic

Heung-Min Son should return to the starting line-up when Tottenham take on Watford at Wembley on Wednesday night.

Mauricio Pochettino spoke positively about the chances of the South Korean resuming action for Spurs following his return from the Asian Cup in the United Arab Emirates at the weekend.

Son has missed Tottenham’s last three matches against Fulham, Chelsea in the Carabao Cup and Palace in the FA Cup.

Speaking after training on Tuesday, Pochettino told Tottenhamhotspur.com: “It was a tough period for Sonny, he was so disappointed (after losing against Qatar) and felt empty on the physical side but now he’s happy, he’s recovered his energy and he’ll help the team on Wednesday. “A few days rest was good for him and for sure, he’ll be ready.

“We are going to decide if he’s going to play from the beginning or maybe on the bench but I’m very optimistic because today he showed very good energy in the training session.”

Elsewhere, Moussa Sissoko is fit again after a knee injury but defender Ben Davies is sidelined, along with Harry Kane and Dele Alli.
