Holloway Urges Zaha To Aim High

Former Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway has urged forward Wilfried Zaha to aim for a ‘top club’ if he is to leave Selhurst Park. Holloway worked with Zaha for one season before the midfielder decided to leave the club for Manchester United. He returned to Palace on loan in 2013 before moving back to London for a second spell in 2014.

Zaha has since made 147 appearances in his second permanent spell with the Eagles and, after starring each season on his return, he continues to be linked with a move to Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton. Reports claim Zaha is hoping to stay in London but Everton appear to be winning the race for his signature.

Holloway hopes Zaha gets the move he deserves, claiming he should only leave for a ‘top club’ in the Premier League. He told Talksport: “I think that right now he needs to be at a top, top club. If not, stay where you’re loved. “I’ve got nothing against Everton, I love Everton and the whole city and they love their football up there and they’re growing and getting better, but really he needs to play in the Premier League at the top of it if he can.”
