Humphreys Set For Short Lay-Off

Worcester Warriors says Perry Humphreys should miss just a “few weeks” after injuring his ankle against Bath.

The 24-year-old limped out of the Gallagher Premiership victory on home soil and it was feared that he could be set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Worcester received the results from his scans on Wednesday and claim they show “nothing significant”, saying they expect him to be back in the near future.

A Warriors spokesman said: “Perry scans have shown nothing significant and he will be out for a few weeks. “Two weeks of ECC and then a week off so that might cover it.”

The injury will keep Humphreys out of Worcester’s European Challenge Cup games against Ospreys and Stade Francais, but he could be back for the Premiership clash with Wasps on February 3.
