Zlatan Ibrahimovic is closing in on a return to AC Milan with talks at an advanced stage, according to reports. The Swedish ace is putting the final touches to a glittering career in the US with LA Galaxy but his performances have kept him on the radar of clubs in Europe, even at 37 years of age.
Ibrahimovic netted 22 times in the 2018 MLS season and has hinted that he would be staying on for another 12 months, which was part of his initial agreement with the Galaxy, but firm interest from Italy may change that approach.
Having previously been with Milan, Juventus and Inter, the experienced frontman is aware of the challenges posed by Serie A and a return could be on the cards in January, when the MLS comes to an end.
If he does re-sign for Milan, it is likely to only be for the second half of the season before returning to Galaxy to assess his next move.
