Inter Hitman Enjoying Life Under Conte

Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku says he is enjoying life under manager Antonio Conte at the San Siro. Lukaku sealed a reported 80million euros move from Manchester United to Inter last month and he has made a fine start to life in Italy.

The Belgium international scored in their 2-0 win over arch-rivals AC Milan on Saturday to take his tally to three goals in four games. Inter looked a cut above their opponents as they went on to pick up a fourth consecutive victory and retain top spot in Serie A.

Marcelo Brozovic opened the scoring early in the second half when his effort was deflected in before Lukaku’s header wrapped up the points with 12 minutes left to play.

He scored 42 goals in 96 games across all competitions during a two-year stint with United, although he became a much-maligned figure in the latter stages of his time at Old Trafford.

But Lukaku appears to have found a new lease of life in Italy and it was noticeable that he went straight to boss Conte to celebrate after bagging the winner. The hitman insists he has already struck up a “strong” relationship with the former Chelsea manager and believes he can help take his game to the next level.

Lukaku told DAZN: “My relationship with Conte is very strong. “He is a coach who really helps me. At the age of 26, I want a coach like this, who motivates and helps me every day. “I am very happy to be here and to be working with him. This match is very important for us and we are pleased with the three points.”
