Jese Makes Betis Commitment Claim

Jese Rodriguez has pledged his commitment to Real Betis after joining on loan from Paris Saint-Germain for the rest of the season. The 25-year-old has endured a frustrating year in football after he failed to feature at all for the big-spending Ligue 1 outfit this season, having returned to the club last summer from a season-long loan stint with Stoke City.

Jese disappointed in England as he failed to help the Potters avoid relegation from the Premier League, scoring one goal in 13 league outings.
His last appearance was in March and he will now bid to get his career back on track in his homeland under his former Las Palmas coach Quique Setien.

Jese acknowledges that some Betis fans will have questioned the club’s decision to bring him in, but he has vowed to do all he can to help them secure a top-four finish. “Some people having doubts is normal, but do not question my commitment,” Jese told reporters. “I will give everything I have to help the team and to get things right, I’m very happy to be at a club like Betis and it is a massive challenge for me. “There is a lot to play for until the end of the season and this is a fantastic group, I want to earn my place in the first team with a lot of hard work. “There is an incredible atmosphere with a fantastic group of fans and I want to show in training that I deserve to play in front of them every week. “The coach knows me very well, he can play me on the left or the right, behind a striker or further forward. A permanent stay? That will be up to the club at the end of the season.”
