Chelsea star Jorginho has revealed he is enjoying life at Stamford Bridge but says he will return to Serie A in Italy at some point. The Italian international joined Chelsea in a £57million move over the summer, following former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri to the club, despite strong interest from Manchester City, who thought they had signed him.
Jorginho was coy over why he left Naples, hinting it was not just his decision, but says it was a wrench to leave and he plans to return at some point in the future.
“There were various things behind my departure from Napoli,” Jorginho said. “The will of just one party is not enough. Serie A will always be one of the best leagues in the world. I hope to go back one day.”
The playmaker admits to having his eyes opened though and says there is a big difference between Italy and England.
“There’s a difference in tempo and physicality between English and Italian football,” he added. “However, you can’t not miss a magnificent place such as Napoli.
“To understand the difference with the infrastructure in England you have to experience it. At Cobham, we have 38 pitches. Enough said.”
