N’Golo Kante is hopeful of many more “beautiful” years at Chelsea after signing a new five-year contract through until 2023. The France international made the switch from Leicester City to Stamford Bridge for £32million in 2016 after being instrumental in the Foxes’ shock Premier League title success.

The 27-year-old has quickly established himself as a pivotal member of the Blues squad, helping them clinch the title in his first season in West London and being awarded the PFA Player’s Player of the Year award.
Although the 2017-18 campaign did not live up to the previous season, Kante helped Chelsea land the FA Cup before playing a key role in France’s World Cup triumph in Russia.
Paris Saint-Germain have been heavily linked with the midfielder following his stellar three-year stint in the Premier League but Kante has now committed his future to Chelsea, penning a deal worth a reported £290,000 per week. “It has been two beautiful years and I wish for more to come,” he told the club’s website.
“Since I came, I completely improved as a player, challenged myself and got some awards I never thought about. “I like the city, I like the club and I am happy to be here for more time.”
