Yann Karamoh is delighted with his loan move to Bordeaux and hopes for regular action after a tough season at Inter Milan. The former Caen forward joined the Nerazzurri last summer but managed just four Serie A starts last term.
The 20-year-old French youth international is now keen to impress at Bordeaux, who do not have an option to turn Karamoh’s switch into a permanent transfer.
“First of all I expect to have space on the pitch given I didn’t have much at Inter,” Karamoh told reporters.
“I also want to have a good season. I chose Bordeaux because they were a team I watched a lot when I was at Caen. I looked at their style of play, which was based largely on possession.
“Then the fact they’re in Europe means there are more games to play. I learned a lot of things with the Nerazzurri, both from a technical and a tactical point of view.
“Everything was fine with my team-mates and the club, there’s nothing to be said on that front.
“Am I here to impress Inter? We’ll see what happens toward the end of the season. Right now I’m here to play my games and then we’ll see what happens.”
