Kayal Hoping For Involvement

Beram Kayal says he is keeping his fingers crossed he will be able to play in Brighton’s final two Premier League games this season.

Israel international Kayal tweaked his hamstring during the first half of Saturday’s 1-1 draw and despite receiving treatment at the break, he was unable to continue after the restart and was taken off on the 49th minute.

The Seagulls moved four points clear of 18th-place Cardiff as a result of that draw at the AMEX Stadium and Chris Hughton’s men will be safe if the Bluebirds fail to beat Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Brighton are next in action on Sunday when they make the trip to the Emirates to take on Arsenal and Kayal is hopeful he will be able to play in the last two games of the campaign. “I felt my hamstring a bit in the first ten or 15 minutes,” he was quoted as saying by The Argus. “I tried to continue but I felt like it was getting worse. “They gave me some treatment after 45 minutes but they gave me the information that I don’t need to risk it. Let’s hope it is not in a bad way. “We will see on Monday how it will be for the games coming up.”
