Hull FC half-back Albert Kelly says he is reading to “knuckle down” after missing the end of last season due to concussion.
The Australian playmaker, who was a 2017 Man of Steel contender, was forced to watch from the sidelines at the back end of the last campaign as the Airlie Birds’ season ended with a whimper.
Kelly is back in non-contact training and the 27-year-old is now looking forward to getting back in the thick of Super League action next season.
He told the club’s official website: “I’ve had a lot of time off and I enjoyed my break back home in Australia, but I’ve been back in for the first time this morning and I’m looking forward to knuckling down.
“It’s about getting back into my routine now and getting ready for the new season. “I’ve started full training again, except from contact. I’ve just got one more visit to the specialist to get the all clear in about two or three weeks time so hopefully everything comes back good.”
