Reports claim Robert Kubica will return to Formula One in 2019 after being handed a seat with Williams. The 33-year-old, who has not raced in Formula One since 2010, looks set to make a long-awaited return after a rallying accident in Italy that left him with severe arm injuries.

He has raced competitively in the meantime and reports emerged last year that he was on Williams’ radar.
Kubica was understood to be on the verge of signing for Williams last winter but the team opted for a late change in plan as they brought in Segey Sirotkin to partner Lance Stroll.
The Pole was handed a test and reserve role and his exploits over the last year have reportedly convinced Williams to hand over a race seat.
Reports have now emerged suggesting that Williams will make an official announcement in the early stages of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend.
