Kucka Excited By Parma Chance

  • Juraj Kucka says he is ready to hit the ground running after signing for new club Parma. The Slovakian previously spent six years in Serie A playing for Genoa and AC Milan but left for Turkish outfit Trabzonspor in July 2017.
Kucka was joined at the Karadeniz Firtinasi by three of his international team-mates but grew unhappy after they all gradually left.

  • The 31-year-old pursued a return to Serie A and got his wish when a switch to Parma was confirmed on Monday evening.
Speaking at his unveiling on Wednesday, Kucka said his aim is to guide the Crociati up the table, having finally got his wish to return to Italy. “Now I think it’s essential for me to get into the team and improve my physical condition,” Kucka said. “I feel the responsibility of being at a great club like Parma. “Our classification is already good but I’m convinced that, continuing on this path, we will be able to further improve our placement.”
He added: “I wanted Italy: I lived in this country for more than six years. It’s my second home.”
