Wasps have been forced to issue a statement to dismiss reports that club captain Joe Launchbury is set for a move away.
Reports emerged over the last few days suggesting that Launchbury is closing in on a move to Premiership rivals Sale.
The 27-year-old England international has been with Wasps since agreeing a move from Worthing in 2010 and he boasts 109 appearances.
Wasps are unhappy with the claims and insist they are “completely unfounded”, while Launchbury has also reiterated his commitment to the club.
Launchbury told Wasps’ official website: “Wasps are obviously a Club that have been great to me over the years and are extremely close to my heart.
I’m fully committed to the Club and going nowhere. “My focus right now is fully on trying to help England compete for the Six Nations title and I look forward to coming back to Wasps in March so we can finish the season strongly.”
