Victor Lindelof fell ill during Sweden’s 1-0 Uefa Nations League win in Turkey on Saturday and is a doubt for their next match. The Red Devils centre-back started alongside Andreas Granqvist in the Swedish defence for the League B clash in Konya, but went off at half-time.
Sweden boss Janne Andersson later revealed that the ex-Benfica star had not been feeling well in the early stages of the match, but had soldiered on until the break.
Janne Andersson told TV4 that the Manchester United star is ill. “Vigge [Lindelof] did not feel well and he was out with us quite early, but still completed the half,” Andersson told TV4.
It is unclear if he will be considered for selection against Russia on Tuesday – a match Sweden need to win to confirm promotion from their Nations League group.
