Liverpool are primed to take advantage of Iker Muniain’s contract situation and could sign the attacker for free. The 25-year-old was regarded as one of Europe’s brightest talents when he broke on to the scene with Bilbao in 2009.
Muniain boasts 357 appearances across all competitions for the Basque outfit but his future looks uncertain after entering into the final 12 months of his contract.

After failing to agree to a new deal, he will be free to speak to clubs outside of Spain when the transfer window opens in January and will be eligible to pen a pre-contract agreement.
Reports claim Liverpool have already spoken with Muniain to offer up their terms ahead of a potential switch next summer.
It’s understood Napoli are also keen on his signature and others are expected to join the race over the next few months.
