Fernando Llorente has indicated he would be keen to return to Athletic Bilbao when his Spurs deal ends next summer.
Llorente spent time in the Bilbao academy before breaking into the first team in 2005, going on to make 333 appearances and scoring 118 goals in all competitions in nine seasons with the club before departing for Juventus.
The 33-year-old is due to fall out of contract with Tottenham at the end of the season and is unlikely to sign – or be offered – a new deal.
Llorente has now admitted he would be open to a return to the San Mames if Los Leones were to offer him the chance.
He told Cadena SER: “Back to Bilbao? Bilbao is my home and if I have an offer from Athletic, it is clear that I would value it. Why not?”
It remains to be seen as to whether or not the Basque club would be prepared to bring Llorente back, due to his decision to leave as a free agent for Juve in 2013.
