Kylian Mbappe insists he will continue to respect football despite earning an “indecent” amount of money at Paris Saint-Germain. At the age of 19, the talented forward is in his second season at the Parc des Princes and already has a Ligue 1 title plus Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue winners’ medals under his belt from his first loan year at PSG.
Add to that a World Cup victory with France and it has been a meteoric rise to the top for the former Monaco man.
A recent report claimed Mbappe earns roughly £160,395 per week, while he netted 439,000 euros for his summer exploits in Russia, which he donated to charity.
The youngster does not deny his earnings but made it clear he will stay grounded. “It’s truly indecent for me, who comes from a fairly modest family,” he told RTS. “It’s true that it’s indecent but the market is like that. The world of football works like that. “I’m not going to revolutionise football. I’m in a system. You have to know how to respect it and to stay in place.”
