AC Milan are reportedly ready to make a move for Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas after landing Tiemoue Bakayoko on loan. Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport claim the Rossoneri are preparing an offer for the Spanish midfielder who has less than one year left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge.
The 31-year-old has not played for Chelsea since the Community Shield and has been squeezed out of the Blues midfield by new signings Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic.
New Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri could sanction a move in the January transfer window, which could be Chelsea’s last chance to recoup any of their reported £30m outlay for the ex-Arsenal and Barcelona player.
AC Milan could be an interested party, having been linked to the player many times.
