Former England defender Danny Mills says he can’t see Cardiff picking up enough wins this season to avoid relegation. With eight points from their first 12 games, the Bluebirds find themselves inside the bottom three on goal difference heading into the international break.
Cardiff may have picked up three points last time out in a 2-1 win on home soil against Brighton, but Mills claims he does not see Neil Warnock’s side getting the wins required to stay in the top flight.
“I think Cardiff and Huddersfield are going to have a real tough time of it, just through a sheer amount of quality and scoring goals, and somebody else is likely to get drawn into it,” Mills told Sky Sports.
“Do you see Cardiff winning three out of five games? Not really. Do I see Huddersfield doing that? No. There’s always hope but not much realism, I would say.”
