Porto star Yacine Brahimi is being linked with a move to Monaco as a replacement for Keita Balde who departed for Inter Milan. The 28-year-old Algeria international has made 166 appearances for the Portuguese outfit since joining from Spanish La Liga side Granada in summer 2014, scoring 41 goals in the process.
Brahimi has a 60 million euros release clause, but as he is out of contract next summer and unlikely to pen a new deal, Monaco are thought to be hopeful of getting the player for a knockdown fee given that he will be available on a free transfer next year.
Brahimi is regarded as the ideal man to fill the void left by Balde who joined Italian giants Inter on loan with a 30 million euros option to buy at the end of the season.
