Murray Looks For Quality Training Time

Brighton striker Glenn Murray is looking forward to getting more training-ground action under Graham Potter in the upcoming international break. Murray says there is a lot of work to do with the squad on the training pitch as they try and get used to the style of new boss Potter who arrived at the end of last season following the departure of Chris Hughton.

Whilst playing week in week out in the Premier League keeps the players fit, the opportunity to actually learn from the new manager about what he expects of them on the pitch does not come around too often and Murray is looking forward to having a two-week break in fixtures to spend some quality training time.

Murray says they have learned a lot in the months that Potter has been in charge but they still have lots to learn and will be able to do that in the forthcoming break after the Tottenham game at the weekend.

He told The Argus: “It is all a huge learning curve. “We have come so far in the three months the gaffer has been with us but we will keep doing it our way and hopefully we have more successful afternoons than not. “It is a constant learning curve. Obviously, opponents we come up against are different every week and there are different ways of trying to break them down and get possession of the ball and control the game.”

First up for the Seagulls is the home game with Spurs and, after a difficult start to the season where they have just one win to their name, they would dearly love to sign off with another three points.
Brighton’s win at Watford on the opening day of the season was only their second victory in the league since last March.
