Napoli star Jose Callejon insists he isn’t suffering from any kind of dip in confidence despite his struggles for goals this season. Callejon managed 10 goals last term but has not managed to find the back of the net in 12 games so far this year.

The 31-year-old has provided an assist in each of his last three appearances, however, and Callejon feels he is still making a contribution in attack even if he is yet to open his account for the campaign.
“I’m calm, I’m helping the team in every game, I assist my teammates,” he told reporters ahead of Napoli’s Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday. “This is how football is, when the goal doesn’t come then it’s true that you feel it, but then once one comes you get many more.”
Callejon also paid tribute to coach Carlo Ancelotti and he feels Napoli have grown stronger and more mature during his five years with the Italian club.
He added: “We’ve been playing together for a long time, we know each other more and more and over the years we’ve become more mature. “We’ve played important games and over the years we’ve all become stronger.
“We’re aware of being more mature, then the Coach is giving us more confidence. We can do great things and we hope to do well tomorrow.”
