Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed he is interested in striking a deal for the in-form Genoa striker Krzysztof Piatek. Piatek only joined Genoa in the summer for a modest 4million euros but has hit the ground running when scoring in every appearance he has made for the club.

Such form has caught the eye of rival clubs, with both Inter Milan and Juventus known to be keen, and now De Laurentiis says Napoli are also in the hunt.
There is still a question mark over whether Piatek could handle playing for a bigger club, but Napoli are clearly considering it as an option.
“I have talked to Preziosi and his agent. We still need to meet but I will leave our Coach Carlo Ancelotti to be calm, I do not need to rush and I do not want to get involved in an auction for him,” De Laurentiis said.
“Without taking anything away from Piątek, we will need to see if he can do as well in our setup as he does at Genoa.”
