No Toffees Return Plan For Mirallas

Kevin Mirallas has suggested a return to Everton is off the cards as he is keen to make his Fiorentina move permanent.

The Belgian joined the Viola in the summer, his second straight loan spell after being sent out to former club Olympiacos for the latter half of 2017-18.

Mirallas was previously a key man at Goodison Park but appeared to lose confidence under Ronald Koeman and Sam Allardyce, while Marco Silva has apparently deemed him surplus to requirements.

Viola boss Stefano Pioli appears to have taken a fancy to the 31-year-old and the versatile attacker says that having settled into life in Tuscany, his goal is to convince the club he is worthy of a permanent transfer.

He told La Nazione: “My biggest goal is to stay in purple, to convince the management to redeem me because I would like to continue my journey for a long time.

I am only thinking about being a protagonist this season to show that I’m up to the task.

“It is an absolutely perfect club for me. I like the city. It is beautiful and welcoming, with me and with my family, here everything is “super” and I am ready to show that I am in the right place.

“I am not taking this experience lightly, for me it is an extraordinary goal.”
