West Ham will be without Mark Noble for the Carabao Cup visit of Tottenham, but Pedro Obiang returns to the Hammers side. Boss Manuel Pellegrini says his side see the competition as a real chance to win some silverware, but their chances of progressing are being hampered through injury and suspension.
Noble was sent off in Saturday’s Premier League draw at Leicester and begins a three-match ban, but his absence is set to be offset by the return of Obiang from a calf injury.
However, Marko Arnautovic is not expected to feature as he overcomes an illness while Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko, Andy Carroll and Carlos Sanchez remain out.
West Ham’s chances have been boosted however by the fact Tottenham were only in action on Monday night.
Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli, who were second-half substitutes in the 1-0 defeat to Manchester City could feature, but the quick turnaround between games means there are unlikely to be too many other players who featured on Monday involved, with boss Pochettino admitting there will be changes.
