Nyom Loving Life At Leganes

Leganes’ Allan Nyom says he has been pleased by how he has settled following his summer loan move from West Brom.

The Cameroonian returned to Spain having started the season at The Hawthorns and after a slow start has found a way into Mauricio Pellegrino’s side thanks to his exuberant style of play.

Wednesday sees Los Pepineros welcome neighbours Real Madrid to the Estadio Municipal de Butarque in the second leg of the Copa del Rey last 16, with Los Blancos leading 3-0 from their previous clash.

Pellegrino’s side face an uphill battle but Nyom’s thrusting play down the right means they will give it their best shot.

The 30-year-old former Granada man revealed he has settled in nicely and says the familiar faces he has reunited with have helped his acclimatisation back into La Liga.

“My adaptation to Leganes has been very good, the club is growing a lot and they are making a lot of effort and that speaks very well for the club,” he told Marca.

“The level of the squad has not surprised me, I knew many players here because I have coincided with them and I have always known their level.”
