Marco Parolo is confident that Lazio will defeat Rome derby rivals Roma on Saturday if they can produce their best performance. Le Biancocelesti are in great form going into the clash at the Stadio Olimpico with four successive Serie A wins moving them up to fourth position in the table.
Roma have endured an inconsistent start and sit in 10th spot four points behind Lazio, but did end a run of four games without a win when they defeated Frosinone 4-0 in midweek.
However, Parolo is certain that his side will make t five wins on the bounce against Roma if they can maintain their good form.
“Every game is important for the team, club, Coach,” the 33-year-old midfielder told Corriere dello Sport.
“However, the derby is played for the fans and it’s the game where you have to give your souls. If we play like we know how, we can win.
“They just need to regain some balance, they have good players and they’ll come out of this bad run. In the meantime, we’re happy to stay in front of them.
“We can get too carried away, whether it be good or bad, in a short space of time. The same goes for players. One becomes strong and the other becomes week every week.”
