Callum Paterson says Cardiff are not downbeat despite their poor start to the season but admits they need to “work harder”.
The Bluebirds are second-bottom in the Premier League table after going down 2-1 at home to Burnley on Sunday and have yet to register a win as they struggle to adapt to life back in the top flight.
Many are tipping Neil Warnock’s side to go straight back down to the Championship and Paterson admits it’s been a tough start but they are trying to stay as positive as possible.
He said: “Our heads aren’t down. We’re fighting. We’ve always been a positive team. We went through our ups and downs last season too.
“I think everyone needs to work harder. We’ve not started great – we know that. But, we’re looking to learn and improve.”
Cardiff face a tough ask to try and get their first win of the season on Saturday when they are next in action against Spurs at Wembley.
