Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic is confident his side can win the Champions League and complete a historic treble. So far, Juventus’s season has been close to perfect as they have won all but one of their domestic games in Serie A this season, only being held to a draw by Genoa in October.
They also have a 100 per cent record in the group stages of the Champions League and have negotiated potentially tricky away ties to Valencia and Manchester United with aplomb.
Domestically, Juventus have been dominant for a number of years and the Champions League appears to be the next step for them, particularly with the summer acquisition of Cristiano Ronaldo.
And Pjanic says conquering Europe is going to be their aim this season. “Barcelona are among the pretenders, just like we are. We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves, but I believe this squad can reach the Final and win the Champions League,” he told Sky Sports Italia.
“We are concentrated on our own results, but we know that we’re doing something extraordinary. Napoli were strong last season too, while Inter have a lot of quality and it’s not surprising to see either of them chasing us at the top of the table.
