Rashford Ignored Solskjaer Instructions

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claims Marcus Rashford ignored his advise for his goal against Leicester on Sunday.

The England forward produced the only goal of the game as he slotted the ball past Kasper Schmiechel in the early stages to help United maintain their push for a top-four finish.

However, Solksjaer joked after the full-time whistle that Rashford should have looked to put the ball between Schmeichel’s legs but in truth the Norwegian was delighted with the youngster’s performance.

When asked how much he enjoyed the finish from the Rashford, Solskjaer told Sky Sports: “Very much so! But then again I told him (to put it) through Schmeichel’s legs, because he opens up! But it was a great finish so I can’t complain, can I? “It is a hard place to come. First goal is vital against a team like this, I think we started brilliantly.”
