Liverpool academy product Liam Millar has agreed to return to Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock on a season-long loan. The 19-year-old joined Liverpool’s academy in 2016 but is yet to make an impact on the first team and spent the second half of last term on loan with Kilmarnock to continue his development.

Millar made 13 appearances for the Premiership outfit, scoring once, as they achieved their highest league finish in 53 years. He clearly impressed boss Angelo Alessio during his stint at Rugby Park and has agreed to return for the entirety of this season. Kilmarnock said in a statement: “Popular with players and staff during his first spell, everyone at the club is thrilled to see Liam back in Ayrshire. “Liam will wear the number 11 shirt this season.”
