Richarlison Keen To Continue Progress

Richarlison says he expects to give the Everton fans more joy this season after starring for Brazil over the summer. The 22-year-old became the club’s record signing after joining from Watford last summer and his form was good enough for him to feature for the Selecao at the Copa America.

After some encouraging displays throughout the tournament, Richarlison came off the bench to net a penalty in the final as Brazil beat Peru 3-1 to be crowned continental champions. Now back at Finch Farm, the former Fluminense man says the confidence gained in lifting a trophy for Brazil is inspiring him to do the same for the Toffees. “It is my second home here at Everton, my football home,” he told EvertonTV.

“I am really happy to be here and I hope to contribute throughout the season for my club. “Winning the Copa America was a massive achievement and a big moment in my career. “It was important to win my first trophy and also for Brazil to have that success. “I want to continue developing and getting better and to win things for my national team and club.”
