The former Hull City man is now one of the first names on Jurgen Klopp’s teamsheet and was named in the PFA Team of the Year last season as he helped his side to second in the league and to Champions League glory. But the 25-year-old believes he can still do more.

“I think I’ve been good but I can always be better,” he was quoted as saying on the club’s website. “That’s the way I’ve always worked. “I’ll never praise myself because I think there’s always improvement to be made. “Even when I have a good game, you can still do things better. I’ve had a good season but I still have a lot of improvement to make and hopefully I can show that in the following seasons.”
