Rodgers Setting Lofty Targets At King Power Stadium

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers says his side will play with “no fear” as they try to qualify for Europe this season. The Foxes narrowly missed out on qualifying for the Europa League last season, after Rodgers turned the team’s fortunes around after taking charge in February.

Rodgers suffered a blow in the transfer market after losing Harry Maguire to Manchester United but he still managed to sign Mitchell Clark, Callum Hulme, James Justin, Ayoze Perez and Youri Tielemans.
Leicester started the season with a 0-0 draw against Wolves and they face a tough few months at the start of the 2019/20 season.

Chelsea, Sheffield United, Bournemouth, Manchester United, Tottenham, Newcastle and Liverpool are all to come before the middle of October, but Rodgers is still bullish on his team’s chances.
After helping Celtic dominate the Scottish Premiership in recent years, Rodgers is confident his current squad have what it takes to secure a European spot this season.

He told Sky Sports: “I am fortunate here because I have a really fantastic group with a good mix. “Our motto here forever and a day will be that the impossible is possible. But I think there is a realism here too. Everyone knows how difficult it will be to break into that top six.

For us, the aim is to be in the group in behind who are challenging that. We will embrace it. “We will play with no fear. We will go and enjoy it and hopefully entertain our supporters.”
Leicester finished ninth last season and just five points behind Wolves who claimed the final spot for the Europa League. The Foxes are well fancied to compete again this year and punters can back them to finish in the top six using their free bet.
