Sebastian Rudy says he feels like he has now adapted to Schalke’s style after making the switch from Bayern Munich over the summer.
The midfielder was the marquee signing for the Royal Blues during the summer transfer window but he has been unable to secure a regular place in the team and has managed just three Bundesliga appearances so far.
However, Rudy impressed in the win over FC Koln in the DFB Pokal on Wednesday as Schalke progressed via penalties and the midfielder says he is now feeling more at home at the Veltins-Arena and rejected any concerns over his fitness.
“I feel in great shape at the moment, I had to work on it a lot at the beginning but I don’t have any issues anymore,” he told the DfB website.
“Schalke have different tactics to Bayern and have a different style of playing and it takes a while to get used to it. But as I have said, it is an ongoing process, you need to keep working in training and listen to what the [Domenico Tedesco] manager is telling you.”
