England batsman Jason Roy says he is totally over his injury issues and is looking to get back amongst the runs for the side. Roy has missed a few weeks of the season with a back complaint that had led to worries about his involvement in the World Cup but he returned to the England side in the win against Parkistan at Southampton on Saturday and says he is now over his problems. Despite a knock of 87 in England’s 12-run win over Pakistan, Roy says he is still a bit rusty but was happy with his display. Roy said: “OK is the right word. “I was not quite myself. There was certainly a bit of rustiness there. “Still, 87 is not a bad return when a little short of form. Even better, the back spasms have disappeared. “The back actually feels way better than before. “I should have had the injection earlier. “There are absolutely no worries at all now.”
