Southampton are among the clubs being linked with a move to bring Edin Dzeko back to the Premier League. The striker had a successful spell with Manchester City before heading to AS Roma, where he has continued to score goals, helping the club to the Champions League semi-final last season.

A move to England with Chelsea almost came off in the January window, and Dzeko said he would be open to a return to those shores if the chance came along.
Now reports in the Italian press claim that Saints, along with Crystal Palace and Cardiff City are keen to offer him the chance at one last crack at the Premier League.
“Regarding the Premier League, maybe it’s too late,” he told Sky Sports News. “You never know.”
The Bosnia international says he enjoyed his time in England, but is also happy in Rome and will not be pushing for a move.
“I had four and a half great years there, and had fun every minute of every game,” he added. “I love the Premier League and England, so we’ll see. At the moment I’m happy in Rome.”
