England and St Helens winger Tommy Makinson expects New Zealand to up their game in the second Test on Sunday. England won the opening Test 18-16 and can claim a series win with a match to spare if they come out on top at Anfield on Sunday.
Makinson is confident the hosts can make it back-to-back wins but he is anticipating a tougher clash with the Kiwis this weekend.
He told the St Helens website: “You’re playing against top players every single Test and we know they will have a lot to improve on. We managed to snatch the last one but these next two will be tougher and we know what to expect.
“We know we can win the series on Sunday but we want to build on our performance and get better. Every time we pull that shirt on there is a lot of pride and we want to go well for a good group of lads and the coaching staff.”
The final Test will take place at Elland Road in Leeds on November 11.
