Sampdoria centre-back Joachim Andersen admits he knows nothing about reported interest from major clubs like Spurs, Dortmund or Inter.
The 22-year-old Dane has been attracting interest from clubs in the Champions League after helping Samp, who boast the best defensive record in Serie A, keep four clean sheets this term.
Newspaper Il Secolo XIX asked Andersen about the possibility of joining Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan or Spurs.
And, although he knows nothing about a potential move, he thinks the rumours are circulating because he is showing that his performance is up to the standard of the Champions League.
“I know nothing, but if you talk to me about it, maybe it’s because my performance is up to it,” said the ex-Utrecht starlet.
Andersen’s consistent displays have drawn comparisons to Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar, who is widely thought to be one of the best young defenders in the world.
“I’ve heard this many times,” he added.
“I think it’s normal, because many of them see Milan’s on my path. This could be the only common point, because otherwise we are different.
He is Slovak and I am Danish … but above all for characteristics. I do not watch him particularly, or rather, I happen to see Inter’s matches as much as all the other teams.
In general, there is not a defender whom I am inspired by, even if for me the best in the world in the role remains [Sergio] Ramos.”
