Sanchez Ready For Hammers Return

Carlos Sanchez has revealed he is ready to make his long-awaited return from injury when West Ham visit Tottenham on Saturday.

The Colombia international, a summer arrival at the London Stadium from Fiorentina, has not featured since sustaining a serious knee injury in the Hammers 8-0 thrashing of Macclesfield in the League Cup back in September.

In total Sanchez has only featured six times for West Ham across all competitions, but he has now confirmed that he is ready to make a return to first-team action and could feature when they take on London rivals Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend. “It’s very good news,” he told whufc.com. “I’m fit for the last three games. I hope next week to be in the squad for the first time since a long time ago.

I’m happy to be back.” Sanchez has also credited his West Ham team-mates and manager Manuel Pellegrini for helping him get through his near seven-month spell on the sidelines. “We have to keep being happy because that happens,” the midfielder added. “Now I’m back all the people support me and the manager said that too. I’m really happy to hear that.”
