Sancho will move on from Dortmund – Zorc

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc says Jadon Sancho is unlikely to still be at the club in five years after his impressive performances. The England international has work wonders since he moved to Signal-Iduna-Park in 2017.

Sancho shocked the English game when he decided to leave Manchester City due to a lack of game time. He has reaped the rewards for that decision, scoring 18 goals and picking up 29 assists in 64 appearances.

The 19-year-old was linked with several Europe’s biggest clubs this summer, with Manchester United thought to be planning a serious bid .

Sancho stayed in the Bundesliga in the end, but Zorc says it is inevitable he will move on from the German giants.
He told Kicker: “No decision has been made, but you don’t have to be a prophet to know he won’t play here for another five years.

“He has taken this positive development (at Dortmund). I doubt that would have been possible with top English clubs. We trust the players very early and we are not afraid to let them play. He acknowledges that. “He does not sit back satisfied. He wants to play football successfully and beautifully. That alone is his motivation.”

Dortmund are eighth in the Bundesliga table after the first three games of the campaign. They have lost ground on rivals Bayern Munich after drawing their last two games to Eintracht Frankfurt and Werder Bremen.
Sancho has already scored four goals in his last nine appearances and is expected to start Wednesday’s Champions League game against Slavia Prague.
